Former CEO and CFO, Sondex – How they built and sold a business for $660 million!
Martin Perry and Chris Wilks were the prime movers behind the successful growth of Sondex plc, an oilfields equipment manufacturer, from a small 10 person company in the mid-nineties to an 800 person global company when it was sold to GE Capital in 2007 for $660 million.   

Martin’s engineering degree led to an early career in the oilfield services sector, followed by various roles in the IT Industry before joining Sondex as CEO.  Chris Wilks joined the business soon after Martin as Finance Director, where he was responsible for and structured an MBO of the business in 1998 at an enterprise value of $37m, the secondary buy-out in 2002, the London main market IPO in 2003 and 5 post IPO acquisitions of businesses around the globe, culminating in the successful trade sale in 2007.  

During their presentation, Martin and Chris will talk about how they built Sondex into a global operation and how they put in place the financial structure and support systems that allowed the business to grow and achieve the successful exit.
